To close the year I'm sharing my personal favorite interviews, these conversations left me with pages of notes and contemplations for ways to improve my own life. The second episode in this series is in loving memory of Robert Rabbin, the author of a beautifully written collection of books, my favorite being The 5 Principles of Authentic Living: How to Live an Authentic Life in 10 Words. I featured Robert in my cancer series as a source of inspiration, he shares his story of how he was given a diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer and was told to get his affairs in order with a max 6 months to live. Robert as a result of not accepting the doctor opinion and choosing not to identify as a cancer patient went on to live another 5 years.
I'm replaying this episode because it is a year ago this month he passed, only a couple of weeks after I interviewed him here. Robert leaves us with so many gems in this conversation, mostly around the power of language and using love as a language that can change not only a diagnosis, but our entire lives.

Disillusioned by what traditional psychology had been doing to address binge eating and other food-related addictions, Glenn began researching the nature of binge eating. Having personally struggled with obesity and binge eating, Glenn took a passionate approach to finding treatments to alleviate this issue within himself and, eventually, his patients. His book, Never Binge Again, provides insights into this epidemic, as well as strategies and programs to help those suffering to reprogram how they think about and consume food.
In this episode, we talk about food addiction and the physiological effects it can have on our bodies. Glenn discusses how and why the food industry produces food with the intention of causing food addictions, leading to uncontrollable binge eating. Earlier in his career, Tait Fletcher was a professional MMA fighter and became a well-known champion. He championed and medaled in hundreds of tournaments, including the Mundials, Pan-Am Games, Grapplers Quest, and many more. Eventually, nearing the end of his MMA career, Tait pursued his life-long dream of being a professional stuntman and stunt coordinator in films.
